This is who I am...

I am not good at introducing myself so this may be short and sweet (like me!). I am a mother to a wonderful 6 year old girl who just started the first grade. I am the first person in my family to go to college (besides community college). And I am a non traditional student at the age of 26. I have pretty much wanted to be a teacher since I was a kid. By the time I graduated I had decided that I wanted to teach Spanish in high school. But earlier this year I decided I wanted to teach English instead (still in high school). I am quiet and a bit shy and I realize that's not the best qualities for a high school teacher. But it looks like all the English classes I'm taking will help me get over my anxiety with public speaking. I'm not sure what else to say about myself. I'm not all that interesting! I suppose if I think of anything else that you guys might like to know then I'll add it later.
